Union Astra Step On® Black 2027 Snowboard Binding

The Union Astra Step On® is a women’s snowboard binding built for riders who want the speed and simplicity of Step On® entry with a more performance-focused all-mountain feel. Designed around the Step On® Instant Connection™ System, it delivers fast entry, fast exit, and a direct connection that keeps response and control at the center of the ride.

This model sits in a versatile category, with a stated 6/10 flex that balances support and mobility across changing terrain. That makes it a strong option for riders moving between groomers, side hits, resort laps, and mixed all-mountain conditions, where reliable board feel matters as much as convenience. At the core of the binding is the S1 Step On® W Duraflex ST Baseplate, paired with an Extruded 3D Aluminum heelcup and matching S1 Step On® W Duraflex ST highback. This construction is intended to combine Union’s known durability and dependable chassis feel with the locked-in function of the Step On® platform. The Hi-Flex HP EVA bushing helps keep the ride smoother underfoot, while the Non-Stick HP EVA gas pedal and adjustable gas pedal support fit tuning and board contact.

Fine adjustments are built in where they matter. The binding features adjustable forward lean through an Integrated 2-Stage FLAD, allowing riders to shift response and stance feel to suit personal preference. Hardware is specified as Grade 8.8 Steel, and the binding is listed with no canting. Total weight is stated at 1.60 kg.

Compatibility is clearly defined. The Astra Step On® uses a Step On® 4x2 Disk + Washer and is also compatible with a Step On® Channel Disk, covering 4x2 and Channel board mounting patterns. As noted by Union, Step On® bindings are only compatible with Step On® boots.
