Rome Men's Katana AW FASE® Black 2027 Snowboard Bindings

The Rome Men's Katana AW FASE Black 2027 brings the familiar Katana platform into a faster entry format, without moving away from the connected feel and adjustability that define this binding. It is built for riders who want the control and support of a classic two-strap setup, but with a quicker, smoother step-in process on repeated laps, cold transitions, or busy lift lines.

At the center is Rome’s FASE Fast Entry System, a design that combines traditional locked-in performance with a more efficient way to get in and out. The system pairs the AutoBack, FastStrap, and Locked-In Toe Strap to reduce unnecessary handling while keeping the fit precise. The AutoBack closes automatically as the boot enters the binding and opens when stepping out, creating a hands-free entry point. For skating, chairlift use, or storage, it can also fold flat.

The FastStrap keeps the ankle ladder connected for quick one-handed closure, while still using a classic ratchet format for accurate tension adjustment. Up front, the Locked-In Toe Strap is designed as a set-and-forget solution, staying in position to support the fast entry concept while still allowing fit changes when needed.

Underfoot, the Katana AW FASE uses an AsymWrap heelcup, a layout that runs only under the ball of the foot on the inside edge. This asymmetrical construction is intended to create a more natural board flex underfoot, adding boardfeel without disconnecting the rider from the chassis. The platform is further supported by an adjustable baseplate for easier sizing and better compatibility across a wider range of boots, a forged aluminum HeelHoop for strength and durability, and a 30% glass, 70% nylon baseplate for a responsive, stable, and predictable ride.

A 2-degree dual density footbed adds a canted stance for a more natural position and improved underfoot comfort. Higher up, the 15% glass highback delivers a mellow medium flex intended for smooth, controlled response. Rome finishes the binding with OmniFlex ankle straps for responsive torsional flex and edge-to-edge power, plus ProGrip toe straps with one-piece AuxTech construction for secure hold and even pressure distribution.
