The Moved By Bikes Longboard Rack is a proven, frame mounted surf transport solution designed for stability, durability, and everyday reliability. Engineered in California, this rack mounts directly to your bike frame, creating a solid and predictable setup that remains stable even when carrying longboards or stand up paddle boards (SUPs) up to approximately 25 lbs. It also works seamlessly with shortboards, making it a versatile option for regular surf travel.

The system uses a front and rear mounting configuration to distribute weight evenly across the bike. The front mount secures to the headtube, one of the strongest structural points on the frame, while the rear mount can be installed either on the seatpost or on a standard rear cargo rack. All required hardware for both rear mounting options is included, allowing flexibility across different bike setups.

At the core of the design is the quick release bar system. The splined bar interface locks securely into the frame mounts using a simple push button mechanism. This allows the rack arms to be removed quickly after a surf session, and reinstalled just as easily when heading back out. The connection remains tight and rattle free during use, contributing to the rack’s stable ride characteristics.

The rack is constructed from aluminium and stainless steel, ensuring long term resistance to rust and corrosion, even in coastal environments. All components are designed to handle repeated exposure to salt, moisture, and daily wear without compromising performance. The adjustable design allows the rack to fit almost any bike or moped, making installation straightforward and adaptable.

For SUP use, the Longboard Rack performs best within specific limits. Boards should not exceed 25 lbs, as heavier loads affect handling and exceed the bar capacity. SUP width and handlebar clearance are also key considerations. Standard bars offer just under 4 inches of clearance, but the lower U shaped section can be adjusted to accommodate wider boards. For inflatable SUPs, replacement lower bars are available to support increased thickness.
