The Monokel Eyewear Eclipse Matt Black sunglasses are a contemporary model, handmade from bio-based, biodegradable, and recyclable Mazzucchelli acetate. This material is derived from cotton and wood pulp, ensuring a low ecological footprint and a hypoallergenic, durable construction. The matte black color is achieved by mixing black ink with raw acetate, resulting in a timeless, subtly textured look.

Premium Carl Zeiss Lenses

The green lenses are produced by Carl Zeiss Vision® and offer 100% UVA/UVB protection. They feature anti-scratch and anti-reflective coatings, providing optimal vision in both bright and low-light conditions. The green tint reduces glare and enhances contrast, inspired by classic aviator sunglasses from the 1930s.

Construction & Details

The Eclipse features a sporty, angular silhouette with a flat front and sharp lines. The sunglasses are equipped with 5-barrel OBE stainless steel hinges, Teflon-coated screws, and come with a protective hard case, cardboard box, and cleaning cloth. Each pair is hand-assembled over three months, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and long-lasting durability.
