The Merrell Moab Speed 2 Vent 2K applies archived Moab innovation to modern, fast moving trail environments. Designed as a lightweight hiking shoe, it combines technical performance with responsible material integration, now presented in the Oolong colourway.
The upper is constructed from breathable mesh, synthetic materials and TPU, delivering structure while maintaining airflow. Multiple recycled elements are integrated throughout the design, including 100% recycled laces, 60% recycled webbing, and a 100% recycled breathable mesh lining. The footbed cover is also made from 100% recycled mesh, reinforcing the model’s considered material composition.
Underfoot cushioning is powered by a FloatPro™ foam midsole, engineered for durable, lightweight comfort. This compound maintains consistent performance over time, supporting extended hikes and daily outdoor movement without unnecessary weight.
A built in rock plate enhances underfoot protection against uneven and rocky terrain. Combined with a protective rubber toe and heel cap, the construction improves durability in high abrasion zones and increases overall trail resilience.
The removable EVA foam footbed, composed of 50% recycled materials, adds adaptable support. Interior freshness is maintained through Cleansport NXT™ treatment, designed to help control odour naturally during prolonged wear.
Grip and ground contact are delivered by the Vibram TC5+ outsole, exclusively formulated for Merrell. Developed for multisport outdoor activities, this compound provides dependable traction across varied surfaces while maintaining long term durability.
