Gerry Lopez Squirty - Trueride PU - FCS II - 5 Fin

The Gerry Lopez Squirty in Trueride PU is designed as a versatile everyday surfboard with a balanced shape that combines easy wave entry with responsive turning. Built around Gerry Lopez’s approach to modern surfboard design, the Squirty brings together added width and volume through the front half with a more refined tail outline through the rear, creating a board that covers a wide range of conditions without feeling one-dimensional.

Extra width and volume near the nose help generate paddle power and make wave catching more efficient. Through the back half, the shape shifts into a more pulled-in tail with a curvier outline, giving the board the ability to turn harder and feel more active once you are on rail. This combination makes the Squirty a strong option for surfers looking for a reliable daily driver that can handle both softer sections and more performance-oriented surfing.

The rocker and bottom contour are tuned for speed and usability. A low entry rocker supports glide and early entry, while the bottom transitions from a slightly rolled entry into a single concave, then finishes in a double concave with a user-friendly tail lift. The result is a board that feels loose, fast, and accessible, while still offering enough control through turns.

Construction is based on Surftech’s Trueride PU build, a traditional surfboard construction developed to deliver dependable feel and predictable response in the water. It uses a polyurethane core, polyester resin, and model-specific fiberglass layups to balance weight and durability. A wood-ply stringer adds natural flex and additional break strength, while the sanded finish is optimized for speed. The board is equipped with an FCS II 5-fin setup, giving flexibility to run different fin configurations depending on conditions and preference. Fins are not included.
