FCS Yago Dora Traction

The FCS Yago Dora Traction is part of the new Yago Dora Signature Collection, developed around the equipment preferences of the world champion and shaped by his personal approach to performance. Designed as a dedicated signature grip, this pad brings together a modern outline and a traction layout tailored to Yago’s exact requirements.

What defines this model is its fit. Built as the first traction pad of its kind for larger feet, each side panel includes an additional 5 mm to better suit Yago’s size 11 foot. That adjustment gives the pad a broader platform underfoot while also contributing to its more angular, contemporary look. It is a detail-led design, but one with a clear functional purpose, improving coverage where it matters during committed surfing.

The rear kick is configured with a dual-angle backstop, starting at 45° before transitioning to a vertical edge. This creates a defined point of reference at the tail, supporting powerful foot placement and quick adjustments through turns. Chamfered kick edges are used to minimise water resistance, helping maintain a clean interface between board and pad without unnecessary drag.

Underfoot, the traction pattern is tuned for control and sensitivity. A coffin arch bar adds structure through the centre of the pad, while the tilted square groove texture delivers a direct, technical feel. Perforations on the side panels introduce additional sensitivity, refining board feel without overcomplicating the layout. The overall result is a traction pad that feels considered and purpose-built, balancing hold, feedback, and a distinctive signature shape.
