The FCS II Gabriel Medina GM Performer Fin Set marks the return of Gabriel Medina’s collaboration with the FCS team, introducing a refined Performer template built around a custom flex pattern and a downsized centre fin. This configuration is designed to deliver balance, control, and dynamic response across a wide range of surf conditions.

Medina’s three WSL World Titles were built on the reliability of the Performer template, known for its consistent and adaptable performance. The GM Performer evolves this foundation by incorporating AirCore technology, creating a flex profile that sits precisely between standard Performance Core (PC) and PC Carbon constructions. The result is a controlled yet lively flex that balances drive, power, and explosive energy through turns.

The Performer template remains central to the fin’s character. Its proven outline delivers a dependable feel in varied conditions, offering smooth transitions and predictable control whether surfing beach breaks or longer, more open point waves. This adaptability makes the fin suitable for everyday use, while still supporting high performance surfing when conditions allow.

A defining feature of the GM Performer is the smaller centre fin. This adjustment increases speed and flow while promoting quicker, cleaner tail release. The board feels looser underfoot without losing stability, allowing surfers to push harder through turns while maintaining control through the critical parts of the manoeuvre.

The fin also features Inside Foil Technology (IFT), identified by a concaved inside face. This design enhances grip on the wave face and helps sustain momentum throughout the entire turn pathway. The added hold provides confidence when committing to rail engagement, especially at higher speeds or in more powerful sections.

Constructed using Performance Core + AirCore, the fin uses a pressed polyurethane foam core that mirrors the fin’s geometric foil. This construction reduces the amount of fiberglass required during the RTM moulding process, resulting in a lighter fin with finely tuned flex characteristics. The reduced weight improves responsiveness, while the controlled flex supports smooth power delivery through turns.
