The Capita Mega Death 2027 Snowboard is a high-performance all-mountain / freeride model built for riders who prioritize speed, precision, and a lighter overall platform. Inspired by the legacy of the Black Snowboard of Death, this version is tuned as an ultra-premium directional board with a clear focus on powerful riding across steep terrain, open faces, fast groomers, and mixed snow conditions.
The board uses a directional shape with a 0.8" setback, giving it a naturally confident stance for freeride use. That layout supports improved float in deeper snow while maintaining strong drive and control when riding with speed. A directional 6.5 flex keeps the Mega Death responsive without pushing into an overly rigid feel, making it suitable for aggressive resort riding where edge hold, composure, and energy transfer matter.
Its Alpine V1 Directional + Flat Kick Tech profile combines mid-body camber with a flat tail and reverse cambered nose. In practice, this creates a stable, powerful platform on hardpack, with added lift in the nose for soft snow performance. The longer camber section through the tail adds extra support and drive, especially useful when exiting turns, holding speed through tracked terrain, or landing with authority.
Capita pairs that shape with a New Age Progressive Death Grip™ sidecut, positioning the Mega Death as a board built to stay composed when the terrain gets faster and more variable.
